The Aspirin Face Mask… My New Favorite DIY!!

A couple of weeks ago a friend of mine was telling me all about this absolutely amazing pimple-killer for those annoying little breakouts every now and then by using something called “acetylsalicylic acid”. Let’s just say it took a few tries for me to even understand what she was saying until she finally told me it was Aspirin! Yup, you read that right – I’m talking about the pain medication Aspirin. This was definitely a first for me! I had never heard of putting Aspirin on my face and I didn’t think this could be ok, but after a whole lot of digging around on the Internet, my friend was right! So I decided to give it a shot and I’ve fallen in love with this face mask ❤

Aspirin contains salicylic acid, a common ingredient in most face cleansers, which helps to cleanse, exfoliate, and soften the skin. It’s also known to be an anti-inflammatory medication, so when it’s applied to the skin, it can really help to reduce any redness on the face straightaway. I’ll share with you my recipe that I’ve tried and perfected, as well as other uses where you can use Aspirin that you never would’ve guessed!

***Please be sure to read the warning and usage instructions on the Aspirin bottle in case of any uncertainty.***
